REMEMBER JESUS
Luke 22:19-20

The purpose of the Lord's Supper is to remember Him. I want you to think about Him and remember Him with me today.

I - HIS SORROW
1-Isa. 53:3 - "A man of sorrows and familiar with grief"
2-Jn. 1:11 -"He came to His own and His own received Him not"
3-Matt.8:20 -"Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay His head."
4-Matt. 26:31 -"Could you not keep watch with me for one hour?"

II - HIS SELFLESSNESS
1-Jn. 10:11 -"The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep."
2-Jn. 10:15 -"I lay down my life for the sheep."
3-Luke 22:42 -"Not my will but yours be done."
4-Luke 23:34 -"Father, forgive them for they do not know what they are doing."

III - HIS SUFFERING
A- Physical suffering
1-Read - Heb. 2:18 and Heb. 4:15
2-Matt. 4:2 -"After fasting 40 days and 40 nights He was hungry"
3-John 19:29 - "I am thirsty"
B- Spiritual suffering - Matt. 27:46 -"Why have You forsaken me?"

IV - HIS SACRIFICE - Read - John 19:30
1-Jn. 10:18- "No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord."
2- Read - Phil. 2:6-8
3-Heb. 9:28 -"Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many."

V -HIS SUBSTITUTION - Jn. 10:15 -"I lay down my life for the sheep"

VI - HIS SUCCESS - Read - Phil. 2:9-11

1- Read - Jn. 14:1-3
2- Read - I Thess. 4:16-18

Now we come to His Table to remember Him. Think on these things as you hold the bread and cup in your hands.
